VidTalks is an event series focused on bringing together industry experts to share their experiences and best advice on growing your brand presence with online video. March 16 officially marked the debut VidTalks event, which took place at Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver, and was themed on YouTube marketing.
125+ business owners and marketing profesionals attended VidTalks 2017. The focal point of the entire gathering was YouTube marketing for brands and business owners. Not the specifics of the site, but the most effective ways to leverage it through two methods – video content marketing and influencer marketing.
Knowing just how to use both those strategies effectively is one of the surest ways for brands of any size to develop awareness in the marketplace and really highlight their services or products.
VidTalks 2017 put a huge emphasis on building your video presence on YouTube (content marketing), or how to work with YouTube creators that have already established an engaged content presence on their channel (influencer marketing).
The featured speakers for VidTalks 2017 were:
Corey Vidal: One of the first Canadians to join YouTube’s partnership program in 2007, and has generated over 100 million views on the site to date. Corey is also the founder of Buffer Festival – the world’s top theatrical premiere showcase for YouTube creators.
Sunny Lenarduzzi: Award winning video and social media strategist that’s worked with hundreds of clients including helping Hootsuite develop a YouTube series that increased subscriptions by 75% and Applebee’s hit 1 billion impressions in 1 day.
Adam Hendle: General manager at Famebit, which was acquired by Google last October, and with a roster including over 40,000 creators, has become one of the most popular destinations for influencer marketing campaigns.
Rachel David: Founder of Hashtag Communications, an influencer talent relations agency with some of Canada’s biggest YouTube creators in its roster.
Justin Sabarre: Co-founder of Pushr, a creative video agency that specializes in creating video content for startups and tech companies. Previously, Justin was a marketing strategist working with the likes of LG, Intel and Toyota.
