Promote Your YouTube Channel with a Playlist of Popular Videos
A lot of vloggers make the mistake of just linking to their YouTube channel’s homepage when they promote their channel on social media. This really doesn’t give your audience anything to work with. Should they start at the beginning? Should they skip right to the latest vlog you’ve uploaded?
Instead, make a YouTube playlist of your most popular and successful vlogs. This will give your new viewers a curated list of highlights that will show off how fun, entertaining, and awesome your vlogging channel is. Once they’ve watched some of the videos in your “greatest hits” playlist, they’ll be interested in going back to your channel and checking out the rest of your vlogs!
Place Your Most Important Links in the First Three Lines of Your Description
Next, let’s talk about your video description. Adding more content here with keywords and phrases appropriately sprinkled into the text will help your SEO (optimizing your YouTube videos to get views from search engines), but remember that your description will be minimized with a “Show More” tab.
So, instead of starting your description off with a long paragraph about your video or building up to the links you want to share, start with your valuable links. All of these calls to action will increase your engagement and help your vlogging channel succeed long-term.
You also have a chance to say, “Thanks for watching!” and show your appreciation for your audience. Your viewers and subscribers play a big part in your success, so let them know! You could even ask your audience to help decide on upcoming content for your YouTube channel. Brand Your YouTube Vlogs
Finally, don’t avoid branding your channel and vlogs. Create an eye-catching logo for your YouTube channel. If you don’t have any experience with graphic design, you can hire a professional designer to do it for you. This will be money well spent because you’re going to use your logo everywhere you can.
You could have a branded poster with your logo printed to be your videos’ backdrop if you consistently vlog from a specific room.
