As the world of YouTube evolves, so are the products and services of companies dedicated to assisting vloggers and creators with their channel management tasks. For example, there’s a very interesting platform called Bottr, which is aiming to help creators build their very own personal chat bot. Yes, a chat bot for your YouTube channel.
According to founder Abhimanyu Godara, Bottr is focused on increasing both engagement and revenue for YouTubers with its chat bot platform, which can easily be setup for your YouTube channel’s brand. Again, the concept definitely sounds interesting, so we had recently a chat with Abhimanyu to learn more about what him and his team are working on:
Thanks for joining us! Can you tell us a bit about how you came up with the concept for Bottr?
As audacious as this may sound, Bottr began with a clear mission: we wanted to simplify the way the world works. Starting with providing right tools to professional artists, creators, vloggers and influencers to manage things better and faster.
We went ahead and interacted with a few YouTube creators and found something interesting: the lack of simple yet powerful engagement channels and monetization avenues.
Simultaneously, we also saw how messaging as a platform emerged and completely changed the way we create and consume content and services on the web.
Naturally this got us thinking, we wanted to bridge the gap between conversation and engagement. Somewhere in between, Bottr.me was born.
When developing the platform, what were some of the challenges you wanted to address for creators?
That’s an excellent question. Before we got cracking on the platform itself, we had quite a few pain points we wanted to address. Low engagement rates on YouTube channels being one. The lack of monetization options being another. Add to that, the hurdles of building a unique vlogger personality and standing out from the crowd.
How does the platform work for creators?
Especially made for creators and influencers, Bottr.me is a simple yet powerful chat bot creation tool. In essence, our platform allows creators to build their personal chatbot or interactive digital twin in one click.
Think of bots as your smart home on the web, minus the noise. Personal bots are being used to amplify brands, save time answering repeat questions and engage better with audiences and clients, on all channels 24/7.
For YouTubers, this opens up new avenues to explore, from promoting new videos and repurposing old ones to targeting specific users based on their interests.
What do you consider to be the primary benefits of Bottr for YouTube creators?
When it comes to driving real engagement and standing out of the herd, I believe Bottr.me is one of the best tools around. Maybe I’m biased, but Bottr presents 4 key benefits for YouTube creators:
- Automatic engagement: Chatbots drive engagement goals by doing what they do best – chat. They use combinations of text, images, URLs and such to present your automated responses in visually appealing micro cards.
- Getting noticed: Bots are fresh. They’re unique and make standing out of the crowd and growing a follower base way easier than a conventional YouTube page.
- Boost sales: Bots from Bottr engage in conversation first, find what a potential customer is looking for, before showcasing creators’ merchandise or services elegantly. They sell to anyone, anyone in a 1-on-1 fashion without being salesy.
- Saving time: Your bot takes care of all your pending messages, comments, promotions and sales on your behalf without your supervision, saving ample time you could utilise otherwise.
How has feedback been so far, and what have creators enjoyed the most about Bottr?
The feedback we’ve received from YouTubers and influencers has been better than we imagined. They love that they can automate conversations across channels to drive real engagement with such ease.
Plus, the fact that they can create a bot for free in one click on Bottr makes them recommend and share our platform with fellow creators.
On a more statistical note, creators have experienced up to 65% increase in channel engagement and 30% month-over-month increase in subscriber counts after embedding their bots on their YouTube channel.
That aside, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive reviews from creators’ fan bases with followers coming back day after day to talk to their favorite YouTubers.
Moving forward, what are you aiming to achieve with Bottr?
Going forward, we aim to empower creators to make bigger bucks and be recognised as successful standalone solopreneurs.
For starters, we are working on direct one-click integration of our bots into YouTube channels. We are looking to integrate payment features into the chat window itself to facilitate creators to sell their merch better, allow them to setup crowdfunding or accept simple payments.
All in all, if you are a creator, it’s time to jump on board Bottr and stay ahead of the curve.
On behalf of Vlog Nation, we’d like to thank Abhimanyu for joining us to discuss Bottr!
