As a vlogger, paying attention to various analytics for your YouTube channel is necessary for growing your video brand. By knowing which sources and promotional outlets are most productive in helping bring more viewers to your content, you’ll know how to best spend time when it comes to marketing.
Having a good understanding of the data and analytics around your video content will also allow you to effectively manage your time by focusing on the most productive outlets, while also identifying which sources of viewership can be improved.
That being said, sometimes it can be tough for vloggers to have all of the important numbers for your content in one place, especially with it being essential to have a social presence for your YouTube channel on multiple media platforms.
Well, there’s a newly launched platform by the name of ICX Media aiming to make that process much easier. The team at ICX Media wants to provide YouTube creators with the convenience of having all their important analytics, social media stats, and data be easily accessible in one place. In addition, their platform is focused on providing creators with solutions to easily distribute their content on multiple sites, gain a larger audience, and earn more revenue.
We definitely wanted to learn more, so we connected with their team to discuss the platform technology and how it can help the community of creators on YouTube.
Thanks for joining us! Can you tell us a bit about ICX Media and how the technology works?
Maintaining a digital presence is a full-time job in itself, not to mention the relentless demands of constantly creating new, relevant, and engaging content. However, in order to have a successful channel, you need to connect with subscribers, identify the best distribution and social channels, and coordinate strategic partnerships with brands, media companies, and other creators.
We aim to bring all of those things in one place for a creator. ICX Media is a digital video management platform and data analytics engine. Creators can distribute and promote their digital content, then gather and consolidate essential cross-channel data on a single-interface. From there, a creator can track the effectiveness of every video and post. We also use audience insights to help connect creators with brands and media companies looking to license work or hire creators to run branded campaigns.
What type of data and analytics would you like to make accessible to digital content creators, and how do you believe it can help with their channels?
We pull data from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google+ arming creators with a holistic view of their online presence and allowing them to identify the most effective distribution and promotion channels for their content. On the respective channels, we can track views, shares, likes, comments, and other performance metrics to help creators understand who is engaging their content and how they are doing so.
Ultimately, these metrics are crucial for a creator because it tells them what kind of content their audience will enjoy and how to more effectively promote that content.
What do you consider to be the top benefits of using the platform as a creator?
A creator essentially has two full-time jobs: Creating great pieces of content and trying to grow their audience. We want to give time back to them, so that they can continue to work on their craft.
Our platform combines analysis and distribution into one experience. We help creators schedule promotional posts ahead of time so that they are not pulled away from later projects to promote old content.
We also give them the data they need to truly understand their audience and how that audience engages with their material. By helping creators to understand their following, they can be more strategic about the partnerships and collaborations in which they choose to engage.
When developing the technology, what are some of the solutions to problems that you wanted to provide YouTube creators with?
Our priority is to build an all encompassing solution that arms creators with the tools and intelligence to grow their audience with the video content they create. By helping creators understand who’s watching their content, what channels their viewers are coming through, and what other content their audience is watching, creators are then able to make the content they know their viewers will enjoy.
They can then distribute that content on platforms where they know their audience will watch it, and promote it across channels where they know their following will be.
You’ve just recently launched, but what has been some of the early feedback from users?
A wide range of very different creators are using the platform to distribute and promote their digital content. Artist, JAŠA, uses ICX Media to share his art with online followers and manage what he calls “the ripple effect” of his work. He can see the impact and reach of every piece of content he releases and the channels on which his art is making the greatest impact.
While another user, Sophia Bastian, uses ICX Media to manage her social accounts and promote her new single Blind Ambition. Sophia praises ICX Media for equipping her with “Tools to help to get [her] video and message in front of [her] audience more efficiently and with deeper analytics.”
ICX Media is still in the early stages. We’re continuously working on ways to make our platform even better for creators and we’re so excited to release some awesome features we’ve been working on.
Moving forward, what would the team behind ICX Media like to achieve?
ICX Media’s goal is to empower creators to be as impactful as possible and reach the largest possible audience with their message. We believe with the right data we can better match creators and their content to the right audiences.
Not only do we aim to make creators more effective in spreading their message and content, but we prime them to turn their personal brands into scaled businesses to help improve their ability to monetize their content.
On behalf of Vlog Nation, we’d like to thank ICX Media for joining us to discuss their platform for YouTube creators.
